About the farm:
Ampney Brook Farm is a 600-acre mixed organic farm near Cirencester. We have 90 head of Pasture for Life certified pedigree Hereford cattle grazing herbal leys, wildflowers and permanent pasture. We grow population and heritage grains in the rotation for small mills and the SW grain network. We run a small number of pigs in our woodlands and orchards. We have an evolving market garden intertwined with an orchard packed with heritage varieties of apples, pears and plums. We look for opportunities across the farm to create a mix of habitats, encouraging wildlife and healthy soil. We have planted hedgerows, created woodlands, restored and dug ponds. Our aim is to produce nutrient dense, good food, accessible to local people and institutions.
